TAKE A LOOK INSIDE:

WHO’S THIS FOR?

  • This program is for people looking for a fuller solution to end addiction. If you’re only looking for basic information on addiction and some coping skills, this is going to be more than you’re looking for. This can be used before, during or after any other form of treatment (such as rehab, a therapist or Psychiatrist). If you have any desire to make sure you have the best chance at fuller health, then this is for you.

WHAT DOES IT COVER?

The course will help you understand the science and psychology of addiction so well that you finally have a real chance to end it. We’ll walk you through a unique model that’s a blend of the most successful treatments in the world, proven through research to help people end addiction with much better and longer-lasting results than traditional approaches. There are 6 modules that walk you step-by-step through every part of addiction that you need to know to finally end it:

  1. Foundations – Here you learn things like: what addiction isn’t, what addiction is, the science of how it develops, why we hurt ourselves even when we know better, and a proven path to move forward by rewiring your brain using your own biology.
  2. Addiction – This module helps you: identify triggers, practice distraction techniques and coping skills for when the cravings and addiction take hold, and think about relapse planning in a constructive way.
  3. Craving – Learn where cravings come from, and how to: identify obsessions and cravings before they take hold, tolerate impulsivity when it comes up, and become empowered when they pass.
  4. False Pleasure – Go over aspects of pleasure like: the difference between healthy and harmful pleasures, the mind’s natural drive for pleasure, and how to think about pleasure from pleasing others.
  5. Emotional Pain – This module gets into the root of addiction that you MUST deal with… emotional pain. Learn about how to adapt and unlock: childhood challenges, loneliness (and poor connections), low tolerance for stress, guilt, sadness, trauma, anger and other painful emotions.
  6. Health – End by learning the most powerful ways to fill life with health and peace with: healthy lifestyle habits, connected relationships, goal setting, ways of growing forever, humility, gratitude, spirituality (non-religious), compassion, and other lasting mindsets.

WHAT’S INSIDE?

  • Learn emotional health with Dr. Daniel M. Hochman, a highly regarded Psychiatrist who understands that addiction is all about our emotional health, and not just a simple choice. He will be your guide to understand and end the emotional pain that fuels your addiction. (These lessons are by video).
  • Learn mindfulness with Geeta Cowlagi, a renowned mindfulness meditation expert who will teach you tools to grow and awaken your wisdom, care, and resilience so you can face challenges with strength and grace. (These lessons are audio).
  • Daily self check-in to help train your brain to think about each day’s challenges to stay on track. By the end, you’ll automatically know how to keep growing as a person.
  • Discussion forums in each module to share and seek support from peers in the same place as you are (as much or as little as you’re comfortable with).
  • Reflection questions after lessons are carefully designed to help you think and apply what you learn to your own life. This is where the magic happens. If we don’t practice what we learn, we don’t change.
  • Music is introduced as a way to help connect and identify with the emotions behind this experience and journey.
  • Checklists to help you figure out what you’re already doing well, and what areas might need work.
  • Resources are given for every area you can think of (such as further treatment options, housing and sober homes, job and volunteer ideas, organizations to use or get involved with, etc.).

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

  • This is self-paced, with pre-recorded lessons so that you can do this when and where you want. You get access to the entire program as soon as you enroll, and each lesson is available the second you complete the one you’re working on.
  • Lessons are usually 3-20 minutes so you can learn one thing at a time. Reflection questions can take minutes to hours depending on your past experiences and thoughts.
  • If you follow the pacing guide (several lessons a day), it takes 12 weeks.
  • Access as long as you’d like (with an active subscription or forever with purchase of lifetime access). This lets you take longer if you need to, and continually revisit lessons and include the people you want to.

*Please note that this is a pre-recorded program, which means you will not be individually evaluated or treated. Most people find this lets them explore themselves freely and without judgement, and resources are given if you’d like to add individual treatment. If you’re looking for in-person treatment only, please follow your instinct and do that.

    Eye-opening

    I didn't know what I didn't know. This was life-changing. I whole-heartedly recommend this course.

This is the best thing I ever did

I started this course because a friend told me to do it. I have to admit I was very skeptical, but it has changed my life! Dr Hockman goes through so many things about addiction, it was like he really knew me. This program included lessons on why I have an addiction, and taught me how to think about my addiction and what to do about it. There are also exercises. I spent a lot of time on the exercises because they made me think of some really deep things. The songs included are great and now I love hearing them on the radio because they make me think about how great this has all been. I have also started to do mindfulness exercises every day. Thank you self recovery for making me a new person!!

    Clean

This helped so much. I have now been sober for 6 months and am not just clean now, but also happier and understand myself a lot. I could not take time off work and took a gamble. I feel like I won the lottery. Thank you!
